I have to go with Tom’s article although Fran’s gave me pause to consider what can catch fire quickly in my yard. I am passionate about native plants; not a zealot; however I think the mark that’s being missed is that gardens are egocentric. People need to understand the ecosystem and how plant communities work. Instead of focusing on saving pollinators, we should educate people on how gardening can help with climate change. Native plants = less maintenance, fewer chemicals, etc😊
